Thame Town Council have been operating a mowing regime for the verges alongside the “Thame Bypass”. This has meant cutting the verges to leave the rear part uncut from first cut in Spring to the second cut in late/early Autumn.

At the Annual Meeting on Tuesday 12 May, Cllr Andy Gilbert was re-elected as Town Mayor for a third year. Cllr Andy Wainwright was elected as Deputy Mayor (pictured), taking over from Cllr David Dawson.

Cllr Gilbert was re-elected as Town Mayor (for a third term). Members wished him a speedy recovery; whilst he recovers from surgery.
Cllr Wainwright was elected Deputy Mayor, pledging to support the Mayor and represent residents’ voices.
Thanks were given to outgoing Deputy Mayor Cllr Dawson for his support within the community and for his contribution to ThamePride.

Last week, our maintenance team were busy at work refurbishing our Memorial Gardens located at the Upper High Street. These works included removing fish and plants from the ponds, draining the water, clearing the silt, cleaning pond walls and bases, to carry out repairs where required.
