Thame’s brand new Christmas lights were switched-on on Friday 6 December 2019. Santa came to visit his Grotto (with gifts for those who’ve been good!) – he even brought his Reindeer, which visitors could feed and pet. A miniature steam train offered rides throughout the evening too. The Mayor, Cllr Ann Midwinter and the Town Trail winner pushed the plunger on the lights!
Did you attend the event? If so, tell us what you thought! (Link below)

It wouldn’t be a Christmas Lights Switch-On without some special guests! Fresh from the launch of Frozen II, everyone’s favourite snow sisters joined us along with Spiderman for meet & greets.
From 4pm to 6:30pm, Grace Church Thame held free nativity crafts and face-painting in the Masonic Hall, plus refreshments for those taking part.
Children enjoyed rides on the chair-o-planes and merry-go-round rides.
Thank you to our wonderful stallholders who joined us.
Please note booking is not open for 2020 yet. Applications usually open in July.
Thame Primary School’s proudly paraded their beautiful lanterns through the town, led by Santa and his Sleigh. As always it was a spectacular sight – well done to all the children and their families who took part in the workshops and the parade.
The lantern parade was generously sponsored by Thame Cars this year.
