A message from Thame’s Mayor, Councillor Ann Midwinter
“2020 has been a very challenging year for us all and I would like to thank the residents of Thame for their amazing efforts and continued community spirit. I am so proud of the way we have come together to help those in need. I wish you all a very Merry Christmas and hope that 2021 will be filled with joy and prosperity”
Get prepared for what we hope will be a better year for us all in 2021 with a Love Thame Calendar
The fabulous team at Love Thame have once again pulled together a Calendar, generously sponsored by local businesses and community groups. All profits will go to support The Red Kite Family Centre and Lord Williams’s Young Carers.
Find out where you can get one by following the Love Thame group on Facebook, or keep checking back here and we will post the locations as soon as we know them. Once this lockdown is over we will have them available from Thame Town Hall Information Centre

Community Christmas Thame aims to provide a FREE lunch on Christmas Day for those who are isolated and vulnerable in the Thame area. Usually this involves a fabulous get together in a central location, but COVID-19 has made this impossible. Instead they will be aiming to deliver meals to those people who are at risk of being alone on Christmas Day.
They are looking for volunteers to help – everything from peeling carrots and potatoes, to collecting and delivering a couple of meals to their ‘guests’ with a gift and a cracker.
Registration is also open for anyone you know who may want this service.

Christmas in a Box
Red Kite Family Centre, Phoenix Community Club and Sharing Life Trust are once again working with our partner agencies to provide a box of Christmas goodies for those individuals and families in our community who will find it hard to afford the extras that we all like to enjoy at this time of year.
If you could purchase one of these items and drop it into one of the Foodbank collection points by Friday 11th December, you will have helped someone to have a happier Christmas.
Items we plan to put in Christmas boxes:
✓ Jar of jam, marmalade or honey ✓ Christmas cake (bar or round)
✓ Selection box of biscuits ✓ Jar of special chutney or pickle
✓ Tube/packet of children’s sweets ✓ Christmas crackers
✓ Chocolate sweet selection box ✓ Family sized pack of nibbles/crisps
✓ Medium sized Christmas pudding ✓ Box of 6 mince pies
✓ Packet of nuts and/or dried fruit ✓ Drinking chocolate
✓ Christmas Stollen
