Spread Eagle sign

We’re aware that the temporary traffic lights outside The Spread Eagle Hotel are causing some traffic issues in the town centre. The historic signpost outside the hotel was damaged recently, so the lights are necessary in the interests of public safety and to protect the sign from further damage.

Reminder that Thame Carnival is not happening this year

This is a reminder that Thame Carnival will not be happening this year. The carnival committee announced this decision back in October, where they said:  “After many wonderful years of community celebration, Sharon is stepping down as Lead for Thame Carnival due to personal reasons. The committee has also decided to step down because they currently have fewer than five volunteers — which simply isn’t enough to run an event of this scale.

Join the conversation at the Death Cafe

You are warmly invited to attend Death Cafe in Thame. It will be held on Thursday 21st May starting promptly at 7:30pm in room 1 of the Barns Centre, and held on the third Thursday of each month thereafter (except August and December). A Death Cafe is an informal gathering where people can discuss death over tea and cake.
