You are hereby summoned to attend a meeting of the Personnel Committee on Tuesday 10 January 2023 at 3:00pm (maximum two hours) in the Meeting Room (Thame Town Hall) for the transaction of business as set out on the attached agenda.

1 Apologies for Absence

 

2 Declarations of Interest and Dispensations

To notify of any items that appear in the agenda in which there may be an interest that has not been recorded in the Member’s Register of Interest, and confirmation of any relevant dispensations.

 

3 Public Participation and Public Questions

To consider applications from members of the public to address the Committee (5 minutes maximum), in respect of any item of business included in the agenda.  Applications to speak must have been received by the Town Clerk no later than 5pm on the last working day preceding the meeting.

To consider questions from members of the public (who live, work, or run a business in the Parish).  Written questions must have been received by the Town Clerk no later than 4pm on the last working day preceding the meeting.

To confirm as a correct record the Minutes of the Committee Meeting held on 4 October 2022.

5 Exclusion of the Public

To move: That under Section 1, Paragraph 2 of The Public Bodies (Admission to Meetings) Act 1960 the press and public be excluded from the meeting for the following items of business because publicity would be prejudicial to the public interest by reason of the confidential nature of the business to be transacted.

 

6 Staffing Matters

To receive a verbal report from the Town Clerk and consider any relevant actions.

 

7 2023-24 Salary Budget

To note the procedure for signing off the agreed salary increase for 2023 – 24 as stated in the Financial Regulations has been completed.

 

8 Monthly Salary Sign-off

To approve the revised process for authorisation of monthly payroll payments in line with GDPR.

 

9 Personnel Committee Meeting Schedule

To approve future meeting frequency and dates.

 

10 Personnel Committee Member’s Training 

To consider available training for Councillors on the Personnel Committee and make recommendations for future attendance.
