  • Bonfires, 9th August

    9 August 2020 3:30 pm

Bonfires continue to take place on Park Street next to the park. It is over 33 degrees, on a Sunday, during a global pandemic where respiratory issues are present, and in a town centre. This has to stop. The materials being burnt too are also dangerous, such as plastics. Really not good for residents who have to live near this.

  • Overgrown Ornamental Cherry Tree, 9th August

    9 August 2020 10:30 am

Lincoln Place, Thame. An ornamental cherry tree has overgrown and is encroaching on my home and a neighbour's home. It will, next year, definitely be poking through open windows and into the eaves. Location: enter Lincoln Place from the direction of the CoOp car park. The tree is the first large tree on the left, at the entrance to a rear parking area.

  • B4012 Wenman road-Thame Bypass, 4th August

    4 August 2020 11:37 am

I would like to make a formal complaint about lack of support, and lack of any action in respect of the B4012- Wenman Road. You have a lovely huge sign for vehicles driving into the south side of Thame staing through traffic follow round the ring road. You also ahve rcently diverted much traffic via this road due to closure of the A40 via Tetsworth. The traffic travelling along here exceeds speeds of even the section of the ring road which is marked 40mph. This development of houses was built back in 2017 and in the time I have been unfortunate enough to be stuck here, the traffic has undoubtedly increased, but nearly all the traffic travels at faster than 30mph. I know this, because 1. if I am traveling at 30mph or just under aand the car or lorry in front is still pulling away and away from me- it is speeding. My dashcam (GPS) indicates my speed, and would be used against me if I was in an RTA and there was any evidence to show I was speeding. Whilst some local

  • Speeding traffic, 3rd August

    3 August 2020 1:18 pm

Speeding traffic speeding HGV's Severaltimes daily I feel vibration, from speeding vehicles. The traffic using this ring road has increased signifcantly, especially with increased traffic due to the diversion from the A40. I cannot recall when I last had a full proper night's sleep. There is racing wwith cars and bikes at nightime and weekdns. lorries start in the early hours . Both the industrial estate employees and many local residents travel along the Wenman Rd at faster speeds than they do along the rest of the Thame ringroad/bypass. There are no houses actually on the road and facing it around the Lea housing area. There is one 30mph sign sitauted on the Howland Rd before the roundabout for Wenman Rd. Oxon County Council are supposed to support environmental issues, yet give no considertaion to residents on this devlopemnt which can easily be compared to living alongside the A412, the Green Rd roundabout flats and Barton

  • Causeway close, OX9 2FW Thame, 3rd August

    3 August 2020 12:06 pm

We are on a new build development in Thame. We have what we feel is a dangerous blind exit from our carport which we feel is a potential hazard for children on scooters etc on the pavement ( of which there are many ) and vehicles travelling along the road. Bloor the developers suggested we lose a huge corner of our garden to solve their problem. All that we requested was some marking or structure on the pavement to slow kids down / make them aware and when the road is adopted some speed bumps in the area again to slow down vehicles coming from the right. We have no vision to the right until our cars are fully across the pavement. Bloor told us that any pavement architecture was not possible as everything was built to an approved plan. But we believe the exit from our carport is an accident waiting to happen. The issue has been emphasised now as the development is fully occupied and we see the amount of cars some of whom come at speed from the right as its downhill, and pedestrians - es

  • 20mph speed limit sign facing wrong way, 3rd August

    3 August 2020 9:09 am

The 20mph speed limit sign for traffic travelling down Ludsden Grove is facing the wrong way, towards Wellington Street. It appears to have turned around in the wind. The sign is situated at the top of Ludsden Grove, at its junction with Wellington Street.

This is the main path from the 100s of new houses on wenman road into thame the path is narrow due to weeds etc that needs clearing and overgrown hedges. it is difficult for wheelchiar users, people with pushchairs or toddlers. often you have to step out into the busy road. the other side of the path over the bridge is only parially tarmacked and gets very muddy in wet weather

  • Danger, 31st July

    31 July 2020 1:45 pm

Hi, the lack of an actual speed bump for the town end of Park Street is still a huge issue. Cars are driving so fast down this road with only the traffic light's speed bump causing drivers to slow. Last time it took someone to get badly hurt before anyone actioned a change and since the resurfacing a while back, it has never been addressed. This is a serious danger, especially near a school and park. The one between the park and pub is so shallow people treat it as if it doesn't exist

  • Motorbike noise, 29th July

    29 July 2020 9:44 am

We moved into 6 Causeway Close Thame 18 months ago . Our house is 350-400 yards from the bypass. We appreciate there will be traffic noise which we accept . However , Thame seems to be becoming a haven for boy racers on their motorbikes , especially weekends and bank holidays. The stretch between the Oxford Road and Crendon Road ( conveniently one mile ) seems to be a favourite speed trial stretch . Frequently machines hurtle down there at really excessive speeds , creating huge noise and danger to themselves and other road users . Are there any plans for some speed cameras or speed restrictions to deter these people .
