  • Loose Drain Cover Outside 34 Aylesbury Road, 22nd July

    22 July 2019 6:44 pm

Resubmitting this as Oxford County Council naively believed Thames Water when they said they would fix the problem within two hours. On the 11th of July Thames Water replaced two drain covers on the Aylesbury Road outside number 34. One was left loose such that a loud clanging noise is made every time a car strikes it. I have measured the noise level at 94db. Despite numerous complaints to Thames Water they have done nothing. Suggest that all concerned residents complain to Thames Water and also follow-up with a complaint to the Consumer Council for Water and make a complaint over excess noise to the South Oxon Environmental Protection team

  • Pothole in pavement outside No11 Parliament RoadQ, 22nd July

    22 July 2019 2:44 pm

Pavemt surface has warn away down to the underlying gravel, leaving a large hole which could be a H&S issue to people using the pavement, especially those that are disabled. It also makes it difficult getting in and out of the driveway of No.11. I am disabled, as is my Mother, who uses a mobility scooter, which could not traverse the hole, and she had to get of and we pushed the scooter out. I have reported this before, and was informed by email that it is not bad enough to warrant repair, I have to ask "at which point does it become bad enough, when someone trips or falls and injures themselves" My contact no. is 07747056053, I live at No.11, please contact me/knock on the door when your inspector comes round.

  • Cars parking on the corner of a cross roads., 20th July

    20 July 2019 9:00 pm

Cars and trucks are regularly parking on this corner of the road. This dangerous parking means our vision is completely blocked when pulling out. It is also a massive hazard for children on their bikes. These cars are mainly parked here from the employee’s of Waitrose. Surly a big supermarket like this should provide staff parking to prevent this situation happening.

  • Tithe Barn, Thame, OX9 3AJ, 15th July

    15 July 2019 8:51 am

I am concerned about the positioning of the road and the building. The building has been hit by a van twice in the last 6 months with another incident today (however with less impact) and I am worried the next time it happens, this will cause serious damage to the building or injury. I wondered whether a bollard(s) could be positioned next to the property to avoid this? As you can see from the photo below, there is no room between the road and property.
