Mental Health Week – where can you get support?

This week is mental health awareness week, something which many of us battle within our lives. Some publicly, and some more privately, but you are not alone!

If you are struggling with your mental health, or want to help someone who may need help, there are many charities and services where you can receive confidential support.

Please remember these services are for anyone that is struggling, they will not judge you, they are here to help and are always open.

If you are in an emergency, please call 999 or 111.

You can call Samaritans for free, confidential help, any time, on 116 123.

You can also confidentially and anonymously text SHOUT to 85258, this is a 24/7 text helpline.

For online support, please use Mind

Suicide is the largest killer amongst males under 45 in the UK and soon Thame will host a weekly confidential meet up; Andy’s Man Club.

Andy’s Man Club is a men’s suicide prevention charity, offering free-to-attend peer-to-peer support groups across the United Kingdom and online. The group want to end the stigma surrounding men’s mental health and help men through the power of conversation.
