Congratulations Chris

You may have heard that Chris Hurdman (aka the sweet man on Tuesday’s market) and his friend Phil Hobbs completed their climb of Jbel Toubkal. The mountain at 4167m had not been summited for over 28 days as the weather conditions had been horrendous. So they were delighted to be able to make the summit although well below freezing and in perfect blue clear skies. They would also like to convey their thanks to the three Berber guides without whom they could not have made the summit.

They had fantastic support and would like to thank the people of Thame and surrounding villages for helping them raise over £3000.00 for their two amazing charities; Helen & Douglas House and Re:Act Disaster Response. Donations are still coming in and there is a final chance for people to make a donation: Crowdfunding to help fund and lift the profiles of Helen and Douglas House and Re:Act Disaster Response. on JustGiving
