Don Butler
The Town Council was deeply saddened to hear of the passing of former Town Councillor and Town Mayor, Don Butler on 29 January. Don served on the Town Council for almost 30 years from 1990 to 2019 and was Mayor four times – in 1992, 2000, 2001 and 2008.
Don was involved in many town projects including Thame Barns Centre, Thame and District Housing Association, Town Awards, the Thame-Montesson Twinning Association, Thame Museum, Meadowcroft Care Home and Thame Evergreen Club.
The Town Council expresses its sincere condolences to Don’s family at this very sad time.
