Green light got thirty one affordable homes

This week will see the formal issue of planning permission for Thame Community Land Trust’s housing site in Windmill Road, Thame, which will provide thirty-one homes that are fully affordable, for the people of Thame, now and in the future.
SODC Planning Committee approved the application in Nov 2021 but there have been many technical issues to be resolved since then, and it is only now that all matters have been resolved that the plan can move forward.
Bob Austin Chairman of the CLT said:
“We are delighted to finally receive planning permission for our site.  This has been a long and arduous process from inception, site layout and buildings design, to now getting full planning permission. This would not have been possible without the backing of Thame Town Council and substantial financial support from the Community Housing Fund and the Charities Aid Foundation for all the design work and technical reports that were needed,”
The Trust can now move forward this year to build the 31 homes, that are being delivered in association with Soha Housing.
