Star Council Awards 2023 – please vote now!

Attention all community members! Do you know a councillor who goes above and beyond for your local area? Someone who has positively impacted local services and overcome challenges while maintaining excellent communication with the community? We want to hear from you!

Introducing the Councillor of the Year award — An opportunity to recognise and reward councillors who show absolute dedication to their communities. This award is open to anyone who wants to nominate a councillor who exceeds expectations and makes things happen in their area.

We want to hear how your nominated councillor has improved local services and maintained two-way communication with the community, how the community has responded, how they have overcome challenges when managing projects and how they push boundaries and work above and beyond expectations.

Nominating someone for the award is easy – complete the nomination form before the deadline of 28 July 2023. The only exception is that councillors cannot self-nominate or be nominated by their family members.

NALC’s Star Council Awards are the only awards in England that recognise local (parish and town) councils’ contributions to their communities. The long-running awards celebrate local councils, councillors, young councillors, county associations and clerks’ positive impact on their communities. The winners will be announced at a parliamentary reception in the House of Lords on 29 November 2023.
