6. Notification of Appeal – APP/Q3115/W/18/3206667
Land to the rear of White Horse Mews, Cornmarket – Erection of single storey dwelling (P18/S0720/FUL)

The Town Council recommended refusal of planning application P18/S0720/FUL at the meeting held on 10 April 2018 on the grounds of; access, poor design, overdevelopment, adverse impact on the burgage plot / conservation area and adverse impact on the setting of adjacent listed buildings. The District Planning Authority refused permission.

The appeal start date is 3 October 2018 and will be determined on the basis of written representations. All representations must be received by 7 November 2018.

To consider and agree any changes to our previous response.

7. SODC Planning Committee Notification – P18/S1215/FUL

We have been notified that planning application P18/S1215/FUL – Thame Park Road, Variation of Condition 2 (approved plans) of Planning Permission P15/S2166/RM – to remove the side windows from plots 12 & 13, is due to be discussed at the District Planning Committee meeting on 17 October 2018. There has been no time to fully digest the planning officer’s report.

To note that a plan of action will be executed via e-mail outside of the meeting cycle.

8. Understanding Local Distinctiveness – 12 September 2018

To receive a verbal update from Cllr Fickling on the recent course she attended ‘Understanding Local Distinctiveness: the challenge of new housing in town and country’.

a) P18/S1563/LDP – 29 Orchard Close – Single storey downstairs cloakroom with new entrance to house. The Local Planning Authority has stated it is unable to take any comments but if any Councillor has specific concerns please be prepared to raise them in the meeting.

b) Notification of new address – MP Cricket Academy Sports Ground, Kingsey Road, Thame.

c) To note the following planning applications will be considered and a recommendation agreed at the Full Council meeting which immediately precedes this Planning & Environment Committee meeting:

* P18/S2260/FUL – Amendment No. 2 – Land to the north of Moreton Road, Moreton.
* P18/S3143/O – Kingsmead Business Park, Howland Road
* P17/S4415/FUL – Amendment No. 2 – Land off Rycote Lane, Christmas Hill, Thame

d) To note that the Planning Inspector has allowed planning permission to be granted for the redevelopment of the Thames Valley Police Station site in Greyhound Lane to form 41 sheltered appartments for the elderly.

Full Council will consider and agree the next steps at the meeting which immediately precedes this Planning & Environment Committee meeting.
