The LPCT draft response will be reported to the NPCC for agreement on 7 November 2017.
To note the Publication Version of the Plan and its supporting evidence, and the legal requirements when submitting comments against this Plan.
To note that the NPCO has agreed it would be beneficial to both parties if the Town Council’s response to the District’s Local Plan was coordinated with that of our neighbours, Haddenham Parish Council.
A brief analysis of Thame Town Council’s comments on the Preferred Options stage from the District’s consultation report is given at Appendix 6a.
A summary of what is proposed and its effect on Thame can be found at Appendix 6b.
7. Vale of Aylesbury Local Plan
To note that the latest version of the Vale of Aylesbury Local Plan (VALP) has been published and if agreed by Aylesbury Vale District Council on 18 October 2017 the proposed submission plan will be published for public comment in early November.
To note that the NPCO has agreed it would be beneficial to both parties if the Town Council’s response to the Vale of Aylesbury Local Plan was coordinated with that of our neighbours, Haddenham Parish Council.
8. Planning for the Right Homes in the Right Places
To note that the Government has announced an eight week consultation on this paper suggesting far-ranging changes to both planning law and guidance. It could have considerable bearing on the SODC Local Plan – closing date 9 November 2017.
9. Thame Neighbourhood Plan Revision
To note that work on the revision of the Thame Neighbourhood Plan is taking into account recent activities and announcements by South Oxfordshire and Aylesbury Vale District Councils. The NPCO has started work on a project plan for the first activity, defining the neighbourhood plan area.
To note that we have been informed by the Clerk to Haddenham Parish Council that the Director for Transport for Buckinghamshire County Council recommended a joint Thame – Haddenham neighbourhood plan, due to the close ties the two parishes enjoy.

17. Neighbourhood Plan Support
Given Thame’s reputation for Neighbourhood Planning, and it’s ever increasing experience in life beyond the adoption of a Neighbourhood Plan, to note that:

b) The Town Clerk and Councillor Dyer will again be briefing University of Gloucestershire students on the preparation of a Neighbourhood Plan.
