Carers Oxfordshire
There are many services designed to make life easier for Carers but it can be difficult to know who to contact. The Carers in Oxfordshire website is hosted by Oxfordshire County Council and has been developed in partnership with Oxford Carers' Centre. If you are looking after a relative, friend or neighbour who needs support because of frailty, illness, disability or a difficulty (such as an addiction) then you are a Carer. Carers are unpaid. Being a Carer brings its own rewards, but it can also be very hard work, both physically and emotionally.   The service provides telephone support, face to face visits, 'time out for carers' service and peer support groups. The service will also provide support in registering as a carer, signing up for the Emergency Carers' Support Service, information about training opportunities and signposting to other relevant services. http://www.carersoxfordshire.org.uk 07341 560646 , bridgetrobson@carersoxfordshire.org.uk
