Thame cricketer shines Down Under!

As England’s Over-70s squad approach the end of their 12-match tour of Australia, the series of three one-day internationals (ODIs) is finely poised at 1 win each, with Thame’s own Trevor Spindler having tipped the balance for England in the victorious 2nd ODI.

Having lost the first ODI in Brisbane by 6 wickets in the sweltering 34-degree heat, England re-jigged the side to gain revenge in Coogee (Sydney) last Sunday. Chasing England’s 223, the Aussies came unstuck against Trevor’s accurate opening bowling, as he dismissed 3 of the top 4 batters (3 for 23, off 8 overs), with the home side all out for 121, earning Trevor the joint man-of-the-match award.

The third & final ODI will be next Tuesday 21 February in Melbourne. For more details of the full tour, go to www.6070cc.co.uk or to https://englandseniors.play-cricket.com
