Naming our new Public Art trail

Next week we will finally see the installation of a public art trail. It has been years in the making and over the past few weeks we have been sharing the details of the process that has taken us from design to fabrication.

This public art trail is a story trail that weaves elements of Thame’s history into a magical and intriguing tale of adventure set in three locations, in three very different times. It has been created through community workshops over the past year. The full details on the process can be found at www.thametowncouncil.gov.uk/public-art.

In June 2022 the pupils of St Joseph’s Roman Catholic Primary School took part in a competition to name this new story trail. The winner, Emilee Sinclair, named the trail ‘The Peculiar Pot’

Emilee is pictured here with her teacher, Mr deVletter and her mother, Mrs Sinclair. Later this year we expect to see the signs bearing this name and relevant wayfinding directions being installed alongside the five totems that will bring the story to life.
