Another Award for Thame Food Festival

On Friday 17th June Alison Isherwood  and Lotte Duncan from Thame Food Festival joined many others at the Four Pillars Hotel, Sanford to celebrate the best of Oxfordshire business. Belmond Le Manoir aux Quat’Saisons and Oxford Christmas Market were in the same category – strong competition for this brilliant award sponsored by Heart FM.

Festival Patron  Lotte Duncan said: “We honestly didn’t think we’d win. Le Manoir (one of our own sponsors) and the Oxford Christmas Market are so amazing and enormous contributors to tourism and culture in Oxfordshire. As we were sitting there waiting, I just sat back ready to congratulate one of them. Then Gareth James called our names and I’m embarrassed to say I lost the plot, leapt up whooping and wooing, and with Alison ran as fast as my shoes would take me to the stage! Much kissing, of handsome men, photographs and interviews followed and then I had a very large glass of fizzy stuff!

This the second time we’ve won this award and it’s a great recognition of all the hard work our team, supporters, volunteers and sponsors do to make our festival the success it is, and one with a very big heart! Thame Food Festival has put Thame firmly on the tourist map and contributed enormously to local commerce. It’s something we are all very proud of. It was also great to see food producers and sponsors of the festival win their own awards on the night. It was a true reflection of all that is great with Oxfordshire Businesses.”
