Minutes of a Meeting of the Corporate Governance Committee held on 12 May 2026 at 7:18pm in the Upper Chamber, Thame Town Hall

1            Apologies for Absence

Apologies for absence were received from Cllrs Bretherton and Gilbert.

2            Appointment of Chair

The Deputy Town Mayor called for nominations for the position of Chair of the Corporate Governance Committee for the 2026-2027 municipal year.

It was moved and duly seconded that Cllr Dyer be appointed Chair. There being no other nominations it was:

RESOLVED that:

i)  Cllr Dyer be appointed Chair of the Corporate Governance Committee for the 2026-2027 municipal year.

3            Appointment of Deputy Chair

The Chair of the Corporate Governance Committee called for nominations for the position of Deputy Chair of the Corporate Governance Committee for the 2026-2027 municipal year.

It was moved and duly seconded that Cllr McGarry be appointed Deputy Chair. There being no other nominations it was:

RESOLVED that:

i)  Cllr McGarry be appointed Deputy Chair of the Corporate Governance Committee for the 2026-2027 municipal year.

The meeting concluded at 7:19pm.
