Pay a Parking Fine
Thame Town Council manages the Upper High Street and High Street car parks on behalf of Oxfordshire County Council. To encourage visitors and residents to make full use of the town centre shops and services, the Town Council is proud to offer free parking within a limited period in both these car parks:
Upper High Street Car Park:
Three hour limit (one-hour limit on Tuesdays), no return within one hour.
One hour limit, no return within one hour.
Pay a Parking Fine
If you have received an Excess Charge Notice (ECN) whilst parking in either the Upper High Street or High Street car parks, you can pay the fine in a number of ways:
Please go to: www.councilparking.org/thame if you wish to pay your parking fine online. You will need your debit / credit card details, ECN number and vehicle registration. Please note: tickets cannot be paid online on the day they are received – please use one of the options below.
Pay by Card
Please call us on 01844 212833 if you wish to pay by card over the phone. Please have your debit / credit card details ready. Please note: this option is only available during Town Hall opening hours.
Pay by Bank Transfer
Please call us on 01844 212833 to obtain our BACS details and for directions on how you can pay via bank transfer. Please note: this option is only available during Town Hall opening hours.
Pay it in Person
You can settle your ECN in person at the Town Hall Information Centre. Payment can be made via cash, cheque, card or postal order.
Pay by Post
You can send payment to the Town Hall, High Street, Thame, OX9 3DP. Please ensure you include details of your ECN ticket number.
Appealing an Excess Charge Notice
If you wish to appeal against an Excess Charge Notice you must do so in writing, preferably within the reduced payment period of the Excess Charge Notice (14 days from date of ticket being issued). Please ensure you include your ECN Number and as much information or evidence as possible to support your case.

Once your appeal is received it will be independently considered by two Town Councillors and the Town Clerk and you will receive notification of their decision.
