We have an exciting opportunity in our Engines Division for an Account Manager whose role will be to principally target growth and identify development opportunities of OEM customer, Engine Distributor and Dealer accounts, while providing expert advice relating to our products in accordance with the clients commercial and technical needs.

Here are the key elements of the role:

To motivate the OEM’s and Dealers in order to achieve sales targets.
To identify and support the customer with reaching an optimum engine configuration and ensuring a successful installation is achieved within the customers application.
To provide technical advice as required.
To ensure that the BDM and SM are fully appraised of all current discussions/negotiations agreeing action plans as required.
To gather market data to ascertain Kubota’s competitors in relation to their product, prices, reliability etc.
Ensure that inventory levels are maintained at the correct level.
To proactivity work within the team of Account Managers, SM and BDM to agree projected sales forecasts/budgets and KPI’s.
Assist and attend shows/exhibitions etc as required
Attend OEM/Dealer meetings as required
To travel as required for the role including international travel and nights away.
To undertake project management, provide cover etc as part of the Engine’s division.
To identify, through a prospecting activity strategy with the UK Sales Manager, new opportunities for further business growth within Kubota Engine Division.
Work with internal teams in both Administrative & Marketing functions to ensure smooth and timely operation of Orders/Invoicing/Credit & Financial queries and any ad hoc requests made to the UK Engine department.
Do you have sound/In depth knowledge and experience of diesel engine technology and extensive experience working within industrial manufacturing? Do you have the ability to read engineering drawings, understand manufacturing processes and new product development principals and competitors engine products? Do you have commercial experience in terms of agreeing terms and conditions whilst maintaining margins? An HND in Engineering/Apprenticeship or equivalent is essential for this role.
