Thame Sustainability Champion Awards
To help bring the ambitions of the Thame Green Living Plan to life, the Thame Sustainability Champion Awards were launched in March 2025. The awards celebrate and support local businesses and organisations that are committed to making a positive difference — recognising those already taking action and inspiring others to begin their sustainability journey.
Created and delivered by Thame Town Council in partnership with 21st Century Thame, the programme offers practical learning, peer support and clear, achievable steps to reduce carbon footprints and strengthen environmental impact locally. It’s designed not just to reward good practice, but to empower participants to take meaningful action that helps make Thame a cleaner, greener town for everyone.
Whether you’re a business, community group or voluntary organisation, the Bronze award offers an accessible starting point — a level playing field for organisations of all sizes and resources. With tailored versions of the award to suit different types of organisations, there’s a pathway for everyone to get involved.
If you’re ready to be part of Thame’s growing network of sustainability champions, we’d love to hear from you. Take a look at the award details below, get in touch to discuss how you can take part, and sign up to join this year’s cohort. Together, we can turn ambition into action and continue building a greener future for our town.
