Richard Exall is one of the UK’s foremost clarinetists and saxophonists. Regularly found in celebrated large and small ensembles including The Syd Lawrence Orchestra and the PRO (Pasadena Roof Orchestra), Richard has moved effortlessly from the world of classical orchestra to jazz and he is now recognised as one of the finest players on the scene. In this project, Richard sets out to introduce an iconic sax player – the mesmerising Stan Getz – who played a huge part in introducing Brazilian music to America and then the world in the 1960s. Remember the iconic hit Girl From Ipanema? That was Stan on sax with wife Astrud Gilberto. So expect some great Bossa Nova, swing aplenty and some hard hitting jazz of the most melodic kind. For this concert Richard will be on stage with Denny Ilett (guitar), Paul Jefferies and Steve Vintner (drums/percussion)
