Mr Sonny Rollins that is of course! Quite possibly one of the most popular jazz saxophonists of the 20th century and respected by all walks of the jazz world for his superb instrumental skill, his compositional works and his dedication to creating the very best sound that he could. His bebop infused swing and Latin music affected and influenced generations of jazz musicians including the immensely talented, young Alex Hitchcock and whilst his current musical achievements concentrate on perhaps more contemporary jazz soundscapes, Alex never fails to attribute his own achievements to studying the works of Rollins and his contemporaries. Ace guitarist Jez Cook, bassist Paul Jefferies and hugely popular drummer Charlie Stratford will be on hand to create tempo, rhythm and swing.
