Theatre on the Farm’s bold outdoor production of Shakespeare’s As You Like It blends live music, immersive theatre and the glamour of the Roaring Twenties into an unforgettable evening beneath Oxfordshire skies.
Performed by a professional cast of six actors and musicians, the experience begins inside the Eco Barn, where you’re invited to a dazzling 1920s party. Dress for the occasion if you wish, learn the Charleston, raise a glass and soak up the atmosphere before Rosalind and Celia’s escape draws everyone into the Forest of Arden.
Audiences then follow the story on a short guided walk into Theatre on the Farm’s beautiful outdoor performance space, where Shakespeare’s joyful comedy unfolds amongst fields, hay bales and open skies. Expect mistaken identities, romance, laughter, live music and just a touch of theatrical magic.
Bring a picnic, arrive early to enjoy the setting and settle in for a wonderfully different date night, evening with friends or celebration with family.
Produced as part of Theatre on the Farm’s home-grown Summer of Wonder 2026, the production showcases professional local performers while supporting volunteers and offering work experience opportunities for emerging creatives.

• The performance includes a short guided walk from the Eco Barn into the outdoor theatre space.
• Seating is provided throughout, so there is no need to bring camping or picnic chairs.
• The route includes grassy farm terrain and a gentle slope, so suitable outdoor footwear is recommended.
