19 Cricket Club Clubhouse Redevelopment

Further to report / update at the Community, Leisure & Recreation Committee meeting on 4 April 2017 to consider the draft Terms of Reference for a formal Working Group / Steering Committee with sufficient delegation powers to enable swift decisions and proper joint control over the build project / grant funding conditions.  To nominate two further Councillor representatives to serve on that Working Group / Steering Committee.

20 Thame Football Partnership Permission Request

To consider a verbal permission request from Thame Football Partnership to submit a planning application for a new artificial pitch.

22 Carnival

This year the Carnival theme is the 1940’s.  Following on from last year’s successful entry by the Town Council, the Community Services Manager is encouraging Councillors and Staff to join in the fun and participate in the Town Council’s float on Saturday 10 June. To create a list of Councillors available to support the float.

 
23 Grants

To note that the Grants Award Process for 2017 commenced on Monday 27 March 2017.  The closing date to receive completed applications is 2 May 2017.

 
24 Unitary Proposal

Further to the e-mails circulated by the Town Clerk on 3 March 2017 and 27 March 2017 in relation to the submission to Government of a proposal called ‘A New Council for a Better Oxfordshire’, to consider any relevant next steps.

25 P16/S3525/FUL – Thames Valley Police, Greyhound Lane

To note that District Cllrs Champken-Woods and Dodds and Town Cllr Austin and the Neighbourhood Plan Continuity Officer represented the Town Council at the SODC Planning Committee on 5 April 2017 to speak in favour of refusal on P16/S3525/FUL – Thames Valley Police, Greyhound Lane.  After discussion the SODC Planning Committee agreed to refuse planning permission.

27 Summer Closure

To agree that the Town Hall will close for one afternoon during the summer, to enable a summer staff event to take place, at officers’ own expense.

 
28 Grass Cutting

To note that Oxfordshire County Council has proposed a new Grass Cutting agreement for sealing.  The Town Clerk / Proper Officer is of the view that the existing agreement is sufficient and is seeking further details on any new commitments / restrictions while minimising any legal costs.  To resolve that if a new agreement turns out to be necessary and is acceptable to the Town Clerk / Proper Officer, to authorise its sealing.
