Corporate Governance Committee Meeting

Tuesday 5 May at 6.30pm
The meeting will focus on the Council’s financial management, governance policies and key updates affecting the year ahead.
Items for discussion include a comprehensive financial update for 2025–26, noting budget performance, earmarked reserves, bank reconciliation and recorded overspends. Members will also consider investment performance and ESG compliance, note a utilities report and CIL monitoring report.
The Committee will be asked to approve several key Council policies, including the Investment Policy, Members Allowance Policy and Terrorism Policy, and will receive updates on insurance matters and Freedom of Information requests.
Members of the public are welcome at all meetings. A public participation period is set aside at the start of each meeting in which the public may ask questions or make comments regarding any matter. In order to speak at a Council meeting, members of the public must apply in writing to the Town Clerk by 5pm on the day preceding the meeting.
