Town Mayor cuts the ribbon to officially open new High Street store, Stamp

On Tuesday 21st April, Town Mayor, Cllr Andy Gilbert was delighted to formally open Stamp, the latest high street retail store from operator UOE to Thame High Street. Stamp is building a reputation as an innovative stationery, greeting cards, crafts and gift store. At the heart of this growth is a steadfast commitment to the community, built through meaningful collaborations with local artists and independent businesses. This is their 2nd store opening.

This transformation of the old Glynswood location will bring fresh energy to Thame’s high street combining the trusted expertise of one of the UK’s fastest growing independent retailers, with a modern, joyful in-store experience designed for the way people live today.

The upgraded space preserves the shop’s much-loved established retail team, the historical character of the building, and the local character of the range. Within the year a versatile upstairs community space will be refitted, which Stamp intends to open for community events, workshops and potential artist-in-residence collaborations.

Elliot Jacobs, CEO of UOE, commented: “We believe the high street has a bright future. We are making a significant investment in this unique location to make it a vibrant and welcoming space that supports local connections and celebrates Thame’s independent spirit.”

Stamp aims to be a positive contributor to Thame’s town centre and economic vitality, ensuring the store continues to be a valued part of local life for years to come.
