Temporary Hosepipe Ban lifted

Thame’s Water are pleased to announce that the Temporary Hosepipe Ban has now been lifted in the OX, GL, SN, RG4, RG8 and RG9 postcode areas.

Recent rainfall, including 87mm in November, and above average levels in October and September, has helped restore groundwater levels in the region. Farmoor Reservoir in Oxfordshire, is now at 90% storage, which is average for the time of year. This means the risk of drought has now greatly reduced, although we will be monitoring the situation throughout the winter and into next spring.
