Changes proposed for Thame Fire Station

Oxfordshire County Council are consulting on proposed changes to the Oxfordshire Fire & Rescue Service. In Thame, the proposal is to reduce the number of fire engines from 2 to 1. The consultation document explains how this fits into the wider plans to improve Oxfordshire’s fire service.
The Town Council is also aware that the Oxfordshire Fire Brigade Union that represents firefighters has made a statement objecting to the proposals.
The Town Council will be considering the consultation at its Full Council meeting next week, and encourages residents to read the information online and make their views known.
