1st Thame Scout Group will once again offer a Christmas Card delivery service for senior citizens and the less able of Thame. The Scouts will cover Thame, Moreton and Towersey.
Look out for the post boxes arriving at Thame Town Hall, Glynswood, The Chocolate Box, and Thame Library from Friday 28th November with the final collection on Friday 12th December.

Oxfordshire County Council are consulting on proposed changes to the Oxfordshire Fire & Rescue Service. In Thame, the proposal is to reduce the number of fire engines from 2 to 1. The consultation document explains how this fits into the wider plans to improve Oxfordshire’s fire service.

As you may be aware we’ve identified a defect within our foul water sewer. Due to the health and safety of the members of public and our engineers we’ve closed this section of the road.
We have taken corrective measures to fix the defect. Works are progressing well and have installed an over-pumping set-up to facilitate our next stage of works. The next phase will be demolition and then re-building of the chamber.

Last Sunday 23rd November, Chinnor RFC in Thame held a wildly successful mini rugby tournament. Girls and boys minis teams from around Berks, Bucks, Oxon – one even came from Gloucestershire! – came to the Kingsey Road stadium for the festival.
