Elms Park

Plans are in place for the large dead oak tree in Elms Park to be felled next week along with another dead oak on the boundary of the park with John Hampden Primary School.  Please be aware that part of the park nearest to the oak trees will be cordoned off and children’s play park will be closed for a short period whilst the tree is being felled.

The timber from the felled trees is being taken off site to a local sawmill where the plan is to use the wood as part of Thame’s public art project, with some of the art being installed in Elms Park. Four new trees (two for each felled) are to be planted in Elms Park.
