80th Anniversary of VJ Day – Friday 15 August

We will be marking Victory in Japan Day with a wreath-laying ceremony on

Let us come together to remember and honour those who served and sacrificed.

The Tower Captain of St Mary’s has informed us that the bells will ring out in commemoration of VJ 80 Day this Friday at 6:30 pm, for a duration of 20 minutes.

Don’t forget to visit the information centre to view our VJ Day display of local people’s stories, which will be on display until Friday 22 August.
