A Celebration of Life Before Alzheimer’s Exhibition

Opening on Saturday 2nd August.

Janine Ridler was diagnosed with Alzheimer’s in March 2018. As of today she is no longer able to do anything for herself, Roger her husband is her carer. (Both pictured on the poster)

The purpose of this exhibition is to show that Janine had a history of skills and abilities before Alzheimer’s, a fact which applies to all Alzheimer’s / Dementia sufferers.

Come & see many of her wonderful 12th scale miniature scenes including Mrs. Tiggy-Winkle’s kitchen, a miniature quilt, a family sampler and a framed photographic collage of her life.

The photographs are referred to as a memory jogger and may be used by carers etc; to stimulate engagement.

This is the second of our new Community-led Exhibitions. These will become a regular feature in our library area at Thame Museum celebrating the local community and interests.
