Armed Forces Briefing

Mayor Andy Gilbert and the Mayor’s Cadet, Sophie Cole attended the SERFCA Oxon & Bucks Armed Forces Briefing last week at RAF Benson.

The event was hosted by Station Commander Alice Tierney and included an update on helicopter developments at Benson (you’ve probably seen the double-rotor Chinooks flying over Thame) and the impact of the Government’s recent Strategic Defence Review.

There was a strong focus on the future of defence in a changing world and military cadets like Sophie and reservists are key to the UK’s national defence going forward.
