£29,093 – £30,559 Pro Rata

Thame Town Council is looking for an individual with excellent attention to detail, written communication, and organisational skills to join our friendly and hardworking team.
You will be responsible for producing and co-ordinating council and committee agendas, minutes, and reports, and will be required to take initiative and be self-motivated.
This role is an exciting opportunity to play a key role in supporting all areas of council work, and work closely with both Officers and Councillors.
You will be responsible for ensuring democratic requirements are fulfilled and providing administrative support on planning applications and related matters.
You must be able to attend evening meetings and work flexibly to support a small office team. To meet the requirements of the role, you will usually be expected to work Tuesdays (to include evenings as required), Wednesdays and Fridays, but the hours may be worked more flexibly around the requirements of the role and organisation.
A willingness for professional development and to undertake role/sector-specific training is essential.
An interest in local issues and previous experience working in local government is desirable.
