Land at The Elms – Appeal

A planning appeal will be held from 10am on 24 September – 27 September 2019 at Thame Town Hall against the refusal of permission for 78 “Housing with Care” homes on Land at The Elms, Upper High Street Thame, OX9 2DN, by South Oxfordshire District Council on 28 February 2019. The appeal has been brought by Rectory Homes Limited and FirstPort Retirement Property Services.
 
The appeal will be held as an inquiry.  Members of the public are welcome to attend but will not be permitted to take part unless they have already been invited to do so by the Inspector.
 
The land at The Elms was allocated within the Thame Neighbourhood Plan for up to 45 mixed residential properties and public open space. The site already has permission for 37 homes, including 14 affordable homes.
