Civic Reception
The Mayor's Civic Reception which was held at Thame Town Hall on the evening of July 23rd for the second year running once again proved a great success and was attended by many local community goups and organisations who were very pleased to be able to get together at the event. It was also an opportunity for the newly elected MP, John Howell to meet local people. Thame's Mayor, Cllr Don Butler presented those past Mayors which were present on the evening with 'Past Mayor' badges of office. He also thanked the Town Hall staff for organising and supporting the event.
Town Crier for Thame

Thame now has an honorary Town Crier: Anthony Church (BEM).

Anthony is already the official Town Crier to the town councils of Banbury, Chipping Norton, Daventry and Wallingford and has ‘cried’ for Thame on a number of occasions in the past, including the Town Council's Christmas Event, and last year's Fun Day at the market, pictured here.
